114學年度第1學期「新生盃英語簡報競賽」

• 宗旨

鼓勵學生學以致用，培養跨域整合、語文運用、專業溝通之實務能力，透過參與英語簡報競賽，提高對英語學習的動機和興趣，藉以加強掌握英語的準確度、韻律、和流暢度，提升英語口說之表達與溝通能力外，更強化跨領域之整合能力，結合英語文知識、商務溝通知能、數位媒體操作與應用，同時經由組隊參賽，得以提升團隊精神與溝通協調能力，增進彼此觀摩、學習和交流的機會，培養全方位、國際化之專業英語溝通能力。

• 主辦單位：應用外語系
• 參賽資格：本系五專一升二年級之在學學生。
• 比賽辦法

1. 報名方式：
   1. 專學制新生班級全體皆須參賽，依照班級人數分為六隊，其中五隊由9人組成，另一隊由8位組成，本次採線上報名。請組長於報名截止日前將分組名單(含隊名、學制、班級、學號、組長姓名、組員姓名)傳至Email: ntubafl@ntub.edu.tw（郵件主旨為：114-1新生盃簡報競賽分組名單）。
   2. 每隊需準備英語簡報書面PPT或PDF檔案和英語口語報告，以Power Point投影片輔助，進行5分鐘的英語口頭演說並錄製成影片。投影片應由參賽者自行製作，英語簡報須為參賽者原創之內容，並應確認簡報中引用之圖片及文章來源，以避免版權爭議。
   3. 比賽簡報請於114年8月18日星期一17:00以前，傳至ntubafl@ntub.edu.tw（郵件主旨為：學制/簡報題目/隊名/組長姓名），本系收到相關資料後，將於114年8月22日星期五統一回信告知，如未接獲回信，請至系辦公室詢問。簡報檔案送出後不得修改。
   4. 各組比賽影片檔請組長存入隨身碟於114年9月12日星期五12:30-13:30交至系辦馥瑄助教，存入系辦電腦。（檔名為：學制/簡報題目/隊名/組長姓名）
2. 報名時間：即日起至6月27日星期日止(請參考第四條第(1)點報名方式，線上報名)，逾期恕不受理。

3. 指定題目：本次比賽主題有九大方向，每一主題各有兩個題目，參賽者須於下列比賽題目中擇一發表，題目如下：
   1. Taking Pride in Taiwan

• Recommend to your friends from abroad 2 scenic spots showing the beauty of Taiwan’s natural environment.
• Recommend to your friends from abroad 2 scenic spots representing cultural heritage of Taiwan.

• 2. Taiwan’s Bilingual 2030 Plan
• Have you heard of “Taiwan’s Bilingual 2030 Plan”? Explain what you understand about the policy and how it may benefit you as a student.
• Do you believe the Bilingual 2030 policy is beneficial to the younger generations in Taiwan? Support your opinion with examples.

• 3. Emotional Intelligence
• In terms of leadership qualities, which one do you believe is more important: Emotional Intelligence or Intelligence Quotient? Share an example or an experience that has inspired you.
• How can Emotional Intelligence affect job advancement? Support your opinion with examples.

• 4. Climate Activism
• Name an influential figure or an important organization in Taiwan playing a key role in activism focused on climate change.

• Name a prominent figure, a major organization, or a powerful movement influential in climate activism around the world.

• 5. Young Entrepreneurship
• How do you plan to start a business of your own if you have enough budget?
• With 10 million NT dollars, how would you like to open a café that may catch the eye of beauty bloggers?

• 6. Artificial Intelligence
• Talk about a case of using AI in your life currently. Describe it in detail. How do you like it?
• Do you believe Artificial Intelligence is beneficial? Or can they do harms to the human society? Give one example, such as ChatGPT, and support your opinion.

• 7. Sustainability
• Propose a sustainable development action plan to be implemented in our daily life. How are you going to convince your friends to join you?
• How can green buildings contribute to environmental protection?

• 8. Leadership
• Identify a great leader and discuss his or her leadership qualities. How can we develop these qualities in ourselves?
• Are leaders born or made? Support your opinion with examples.

• 9. Playing Host to Visiting Students
• Propose a plan to take international students to visit tourist attractions or places that make them know more about Taiwan.
• Which traditional Taiwanese festivals would you arrange for international students to experience when they come to Taiwan?

4. 評分規則：
   1. 發表模式：每位隊員均須輪流口頭報告，正式發表不得攜帶或參看文字稿。
   2. 服裝規定：簡報競賽期間須遵守服裝規定，凡參賽者應符合「商務休閒」（即 “Business Casual”）的服裝標準。
5. 評分標準：

如有同分，依「簡報內容＞英語表達＞台風及團隊表現」順序分數高低排序。

• 獎勵辦法(各組頒發獎勵如下)：

第一名：獎狀乙張，獎金新台幣肆仟伍佰元整。

第二名：獎狀乙張，獎金新台幣肆仟元整。

第三名：獎狀乙張，獎金新台幣參仟伍佰元整。

佳　作：(3組)獎狀乙張，獎金新台幣參仟元整。

• 比賽注意事項：

1. 參賽者應按照組別、並根據比賽辦法中公佈之題目擇一發表，並於簡報內容清楚標明其主題，簡報內容不符講題者，將不予計分。
2. 簡報投影片與口頭報告講稿著作權相關事宜由參賽者自行負責，不得侵害他人之智慧財產權，如有相關情事發生，主辦單位有權取消其競賽及得獎資格。
3. 參賽者發表時，不得攜帶講稿、小抄，否則將取消參賽資格。
4. 本系將保留參賽者比賽活動影音檔之版權，得獎選手之影音檔將上傳至本比賽活動專網，以供參閱專用。
5. 參賽者需遵守主辦單位所擬定之比賽辦法。違反者，主辦單位得撤銷其參賽資格或優勝名次。
6. 參賽者皆可申請參賽證明。
7. 比賽結果以評審專家的最後決定為標準，參賽者不得異議。
8. 比賽規則若有未盡事宜，得由主辦單位適時修正補充之，並於比賽前上網或公開說明之。
