2011 Conference for English Teaching and Learning,

Department of Applied Foreign Languages,

National Taipei College of Business



1. Aim of the Conference: To investigate and discuss the theories and application of English teaching and learning as well as the pertinent fields

2. Time & Date: 09:00 – 17:30, October 21st, 2011 (Friday)

3. Venue: National Taipei College of Business (No. 321, Sec. 1, Jinan Rd., Taipei 100, Taiwan, R. O. C.)

4. Related Topics for Papers:

* Linguistics and English Teaching

* Theory/Practice of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening

* Theory/Practice of Second Foreign Languages Teaching

* Theory/Practice of Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation

* Theory/Practice of ESP, CBI (contented-based instruction in L2)

* Other Areas: Curriculum, Placement Tests, Remedial Teaching, Freshman English, English Proficiency Tests, etc.

5. Paper Format:

* Edit the paper in MS Word2003 A4 style (vertical) and use the font Times New Roman.

* Font size # 16 for the title and # 12 for the text.

* The first sentence of each paragraph should not be indented, and the paragraphs should be aligned to the left margin.

* All sentences and paragraphs should be single-spaced.

* Center the title on the paper.

6. Paper Submission:

* Papers related to the topics, written in either Chinese or English, are all welcome (the presentation should be conducted in the same language as the paper).

* Text (within 5 pages, including the title of the paper, key words and abstract) should be submitted as MS Word2003 attachment to aflntcb@gmail.com by e-mail before Sep. 30th, 2011. The author’s name, title, address, telephone number and institution should be clearly
specified in the e-mail.

* All papers will be audited under blind review.

* Announcement of Acceptance: Oct. 14tj, 2011

* Conference Date: Oct. 21st , 2011
