97學年度迎新露營已於10月4日、5日假通霄海洋渡假村舉行，活動順利圓滿結束！ The “Welcome Camping 2008” was held at Tung-hsiao Beach Resort on October 4th and 5th. We had great success!
經過10月8日的初賽，共有三組同學代表本科系參加97年北區技專校院英語簡報比賽。 After the competitive elimination competition on October 8th, 3 teams were selected, and they will represent our department to take part in the “Northern Taiwan Technological & Vocational Education English Presentation Competition 2008.”
E Café 外語學習廣場，於10月9日正式開幕。本園地每日9:30-19:30將提供VOA、BBC、CNN、ICRT新聞廣播，以及商務英文影片。此外每週三中午12:45-13:15，將舉辦Live Talk Show，請同學踴躍參加。 The E Café (a place to expose yourself to the world of English and other foreign languages) was opened to all students since October 9th 2008. News from VOA, BBC, CNN, ICRT (only audio) and Business English (video) will be broadcasted every day from 9:30 to 19:30 everyday. In addition, we will hold a Live Talk Show every Wednesday from 12:45 to 13:15. Your participation is highly encouraged and appreciated. E Café Programs
外語自學中心於10月9日起對外開放，請同學恪遵使用規定。 The Self-access Learning Space was opened to all students since October 9th 2008, please comply with the regulations. 10月24日將舉辦「新制多益攻略」講座，請同學踴躍參加。 An orientation on “TOEIC Test” will be held on October 24th 2008, and please feel free to join us. 2008年北商論壇應用外語教與學研討會，將於2008年11月13日舉行。會議將邀請國外學者蒞臨演講，本系多位老師亦將發表論文。 A conference on teaching and learning applied foreign languages will be held on November 13th 2008. Foreign Scholars will be invited to give speeches.
